A conservation-themed menu built on local ingredients — every meal helps support the savanna.
A natural history museum in the heart of the Maasai Mara — where evolution, wildlife and people meet.
The Mara Natural History Center stands inside Kenya’s Maasai Mara ecosystem. From the making of the earth and the threads of life, to the coexistence of lions, elephants and the Maasai, to today’s scars and the work of healing them — we hope every visitor will come to understand this land before stepping out onto it.
A circular route from the entrance hall: the scar of the earth and the origins of life; climate and habitats; how species live together and feed on one another; the wounds people have left, the healing now under way, and the future we share.
